White Ribbon Day Walk 25th November
November 29, 2011
On 25th November Pru took part in the White Ribbon Day walk, alongside hundreds of Police officers, Emergency services, Defence Force personnel and community leaders.
The walk from Randwick to Coogee was a symbolic event and a fantastic commitment by members of the Sydney community to eradicate violence against women.
The White Ribbon Foundation encourages men to speak out against domestic violence. Hundreds of events were held around Australia for White Ribbon Day, including at Parliament House, with the annual White Ribbon Lunch.
Members of Parliament all wore white ribbons during the final question time of 2011. We as a government have sent a strong message that we will never commit, excuse or remain silent about violence against women.
